Just found another forum into remastering. Wow, thought I was alone here but these guys are big, would take days to sort thru all the topics they got. Hopefully I can find some friends from there. Site is @ www.gearslutz.com/board/mastering-forum/

Update... After PMing a board op, discovered this group is a bunch of stuffed shirts & pretty much told to go away. Well then if you're a misfit like me that doesn't fit in over there, might find a more tolerant climate over here. Funny how the egg heads like to separate themselves from meat & potatoes type. All I gotta say is if you guys over there got anybody that can work audio like I can, I challenge you to a dual, your exotic audio gear & extensive audio knowledge doesn't seem to do the job delivering audio as stunning as this dumb ass can off my pc so come on, let's see some guts?

I was inquiring to the board op of the remastering section if there were any people in that group who'd be intrested in some friendly remastering competition & got a reply back of, are you asking the artists for permission & thought, what kind of stupid question is that? Shit, radio stations use exotic processors that alter the sound to their discretion. Do they ask permission. If I don't like the audio & go to twist the tone knobs on my amp, do I need to get permission? I was under the impression from this guy that it was some kind of copyright infringement, well if it is, screw that. Nobody's gonna tell me how to listen to music I own. I'd like to actually see a court case of someone who got in trouble for tweeking the audio of an artists music, that's just flat out absurdity.

Anyways, the guy said we're a group of professionals & don't engage in such nonsense. Well sounds like you guy are stuffed shirts so wrapped in your techy world, you don't know how to have any fun. I'll plug away at my project here & see if I can dredge up a group into this kinda stuff on my own & might just shake you pro's up that what you can do can be done as good or better by hobbyists.
