I'm a hard nosed discriminating rabid collector, over 40 years at it & getting to be an old bugger nor in very good health anymore, doubt I have much more time left in this world as I watch the icons I grew up to bite the dust in droves. I'm gonna rock til I drop & this is my legacy to pass onto a new generation of rockers or even seasoned collectors who'd like to discover stuff they may have missed out on from someone that's been around from rocks inception to give an opportunity to those intrested to scan thru a superb, lifetime in the making collection.... Yeah, you heard right, if you're an active contributing member, you get on demand listening access to my massive collection for the asking.
Along with seeking out & archiving audiophile copies of the hottest music ever created, I'm also an audio connoisseur that does some world class remastering & have custom remastered my entire singles collection, a huge stash of better to way better copies than what's in common circulation.
I got this started 'cuz of the lack of rock sites with 1st class taste in rock music & it's getting harder to find olympic class rock anymore so I'm looking to meet other serious collectors who are also into turning over every stone huntin' for gems that would like to trade tips on stuff we may not be aware of worth adding to our stash & have a site where serious rockers can go & expect nothing but the best that can be found. I'm greedy, I want the best of anything that can be had & this is a venue that can help feed the need & those alike.
Don't know how long I'll be around, as long as I'm here, this site will exhibit regular activity from me. If one day you visit here & not seeing regular posts, you can assume I'm no longer in existence & unless I find a moderator with the moxy to take this over in my absence, this will become an unmanned free for all or a morgue.
So I'm looking for a moderator that has the right stuff to take this over if I can't be here. If that's you, you'll inherit my digital masters collection as appreciation for your colaberation. That means you have to be a leading contributor to this forum, have some intrest & ability in css/html coding & most important, demonstrate near about the same hard ass discriminating taste in music I find acceptable to keep this a hot venue hardcore rockers can count on to find rock that really matters. Shit, if you got all that going for ya, you should be doing your own thing anyways if you're not.
If that doesn't happen, take advantage of the resources here while you can, there aren't many sociable collectors around anymore, I've tried reaching many. Most are a bunch of snot rags or introverted zombies with the herd mentality & over bloated egos that having the biggest stash is a measure of status. I'm here mostly to find others like me who got taste for exceptional music in quality audio who dig hard to find great stuff outside the normal channels, not mere mp3 hoarders which looks to be nearly nonexistent.
Really... a huge collection of junk doesn't impress me but anyone who knows where all the diamonds are in their stash does, so if you're confident of your ability to dig up noteworthy music few know of, we might could be of benefit to each other. For others seriously looking to discover great tunes beyond the common stuff they haven't heard yet, I have my entire stash of what I rate as the most noteworthy stuff available for on demand listening for active posting members or those that can reciprocate & can impress me with stuff I'd like but don't have & can fire up a 1st class rock station anytime it's needed but only by request for active members.
Since it's got so easy to find just about anything you'd want for free on the net, the days of social music clubs where friends kept each other updated on the hottest stuff coming out is history now, nobody knows or even cares who it's coming from anymore. That's great for zombies, not me. Some of the stuff I got you ain't gonna find anywhere on the net. If you're a collector of the high grade remasters such as MFSL's or an eac fanatic & think you're sitting on top of the world with that stash, compare the sample clips on the main page of an mfsl vs my remaster & prepare yourself for a big let down on how good you thought your high grade copies sound. Most of my library's audio resembles that quality & if you want access to investigate it, you gotta be sociable. I don't coddle lazy zombies.
I've been here since Jan '16 & not yet met another collector of this caliber & worse yet, as mediocre as all the rock sites I can find are, that my effort aimed at raising the caliber of taste isn't attracting many which shows me the passion of the rock scene has got pretty fuckin' lame.
I'm not here to compete with other rock forums in a popularity contest. This is at a level beyond the ordinary aimed at a more discriminating audience, so if your a seasoned high grade collector or even the Joe mainstream looking to expand your depth, you're the crowd this forum is aimed at attracting & just running across a few of that caliber is all the reward I put this effort in for. If that resembles you, then sign up & lets get rockin'. Cheers all & rock on!
