Some are free spirited party animals, some more reflecting & soulful or bluesy, others romanticists or fantasizers. Aside from the music itself with the vibes that best satisfy your taste we all have our favorite bands by their words go deeper touching our souls so, do tell who best reflects your state of being by their lyrics & why.
On 1 side of me, #1 was the old Lynyrd Skynyrd. I came up in this world on the road of hard knocks & Skynyrd best lyricised the things I felt about life & of course backed those soulful, streetwise & cocky lyrics with incredible music. Then when I started exploring blues music, Walter Trout grabbed my attention best with his stellar talent of electrifying the blues & much like Skynyrd, had alot to say that spoke to my psyche.
On another side of me is missing my reckless party my ass off youth days & tho my lifestyle is far from that anymore, the young bands with all their reckless balls to the wall, pedal to the metal energy & give ya the finger if you don't like it attitude gives me a shot of nostalgia that energizes my psyche so pretty much anything with a killer melody that takes a direction of driving off a cliff for the thrill of it & no matter if the lyrics make any sense works for me. Right now I'd give that crown to the Debbie Ray Band. They Rock Bad Ass!
