As your master of ceremonies here & self proclaimed toughest rock critic on the planet, this site is more a spectacle & culmination of my 40+ years journey as a collector/audio nut & partly from not finding any satisfying rock sites I would be proud to be a part of. As humanity & music steadily devolves into a spiraling degeneracy I've stuck to my guns as a hard nosed cocky discriminating judge on what ranks as good music as you shall see & from what I've seen so far, many visiting here haven't found this site inclusive enough for tolerance of their taste but no matter to me, this is an example of a place I was hoping I'd find but yet haven't.... So now on to a livid tirade many will not get thru without getting insulted & that's ok, this is aimed at a crowd of a particular character & caliber that appears to be all but extinct.
I grew up in an era of the best music history ever created & this sites aim is to provide a higher caliber of music from what's found on other rock sites. I started this out of frustration over finding nothing but overly liberal sites that post anything that resembles a group calling themselves a rock band & give ridiculous glowing reviews for horseshit that wastes my time chasing around a lotta crap & maybe correctly identifying a gem every now & even worse, sometimes trashing a noteworthy release.
As far as I'm concerned, the rock genre has splintered into so many factions, it's been polluted beyond recognition of it's former glory & I'm here to weed out the trash & attempting to revive some resemblance of what really good rock is. Every rock site I can find to visit is about as boring & tasteless as a bowl of stale cornflakes!
I expect this will piss off some visitors here & I don't give a crap. I'm sick of mediocre & the attitude here is cocky against junk music & won't get any attention here, so if you can't distinguish exceptional from trash, you'll likely find better pastures at the other rock sites which appear to be in decline & or folding.... Hmmm, wonder why?
With more music on tap than anyone could listen to in their lifetime, I can't see any point in cluttering up hard drive space collecting stuff that isn't noteworthy or eating up space on my site with mediocre or junk that's easily forgettable, so I created this just for the discriminating few with that same view, to share the best gems I've run across & hopefully recruit others with a near about the same eye to eye tough criteria of what ranks, for a one of a kind, premo stuff only site.
If there's still anyone around that can demonstrate a level of taste this site represents, you'll earn my respect. If there's a rare few that can exceed my expectations, you'll get a bow from me in honor. I'm hoping I'm not the last of a breed with no tolerance for anything but excellence. Want some proof just how bad ass my rock taste is? Visit my stations playlist thread link of what your lucky ears will hear on the station when it's up. You won't find anything but back to back bad ass rock on that menu! There ain't a station around that even comes close to having a playlist as killer. If you haven't seen much of my site yet to get the gist of this sites attitude, I'm a patriot right wing activist with no tolerance for retarded lefty degenerates or tasteless mediocre music that seems to be predominantly found anymore on the net. I'm not here for a popularity contest. I'm looking to gather & collaborate with other snotty connoisseurs deserving of respect for their spot on taste in tunage that are seemingly far & few between anymore & to be a dick about it if needed to keep this from turning into a toilet like everything else seems to be going.
There's just so much junk music getting published in the name of rock that has no redeemable value nor deserves any recognition & worse yet, ppl that'll go for such crap. Standards of what's acceptable have really gone down the toilet from what it used to be.
I remember the 60's & 70's there was a monster hit or 2 coming out about every week. Now hearing a remarkable song is far & few between, & with an avalanche of bands out there, it's pretty tough weeding thru all the clutter to find any jewels, so that's this sites aim, to gather those with refined taste with a knack for what ranks as noteworthy music from the newest generation of rockers rightly bored with the mediocracy of today's rock scene & looking for better, to seasoned collectors or trackers who know a jewel when they come across it & got their own stash of little known gems they'd like to show off & get a site going with a discriminating cadre' of rockers you can bet the farm on for digging up what really matters.
I'm going about this as leading by example, like a coach trying to assemble a pro sports team of players that can consistently demonstrate an ability to slam dunk everything they post & put together a team that'll bulldoze all other rock sites in it's path for a reputation of impeccable taste but so far all I hear are crickets, it appears that caliber of talent has withered away.
If you ever hoped a rock site would show up you could count on to keep it totally top shelf & can show you mean biz with the ability for tracking down great music, this is the only place I know of in existence with the hard nosed potential for getting it done, so if you got some prowess in this area, show the world, jump aboard & make it happen.
I've been up here since Jan '16 & with all the visitors, am totally disappointed to find there's virtually no one who gives a shit about a discriminating rock site. Man, are you all out there nothing but a bunch of zombies anymore? If you guys are content with the mediocre rock sites I'm seeing on the net, have at it. I visit most of them just to see if they're finding anything of merit I didn't know of but end up wasting a lotta time going thru junk.
If you think good rock/metal is stuff like Metallica (boring!), Hootie & the blow whatever, or metal bands with vocals like vile barfing devil worshipers or bands that machine gun the drums thru every tune, well I'm sorry your spirits journey hasn't advanced further in refinement to distinguish noise pollution from artful vibes but you can go away insulted or ascend to a higher level of discrimination with what's ranked noteworthy within but if you can't help yourself being drawn to crap, this site might not be the place you'll want to hang out at.
Like a nutritionist trying to train someone to stop poisoning themselves on junk food, this sites purpose is similar, to lead a path away from sonic junk. You are what you eat & listen to & gourmet dining for your ears is all that gets served here. All I can do is try, not everyone can or wants to be saved.
I'm sure many will be insulted by that & it's intentional to run off the tasteless but if your ego's not so frail that the attitude here hasn't sent you exiting yet & cool with the objective, then get on board & raise some hell or just sit back, expect to get rocked righteously & enjoy the show. Bands looking for recognition that can really put together a captivating melody with killer execution, this sites door is always open to plug any group that can impress my ears. You can post your music vids or links to any of your other roosts on the net, on my "bands looking for exposure" thread here @ link & if it's bad ass, I'll see to it, it gets spotlighted in the choice music threads it most appropriately fits in.
There's a few cool frills you'll find here for those who take the time to snoop around that you won't get at other sites. No, it's not super flashy like some but you ain't gonna find another rock site with the beef this place does, a rock playground created for rock addicts with real snotty attitudes in taste, away from the anything goes or trendy herd mentality corporate borg sites, dedicated to preserving the memory of the pasts best, well known or not & spotlighting the current & future greats as they appear, just for those of you looking for something a cut above & or up to the task of contributing to the festivities tastefully.
My membership roster size isn't important to me nor is this a popularity contest of rock sites, they're nearly irrelevant to me anyways.
