Beware.... eteraser software destroyed my O/S!
With all the fuckin' snooping going on from social media sites & the gov't, I just don't want any of them to find out what I do on my pc or look at on the net. No I don't do anything illegal, not a kiddie porn degenerate. I just don't like snoops period!
So I went looking for some software that would erase any stored logs of my activity & came across this eteraser that sounded like it would do what I wanted & it wasn't free. They let you try it out first but after 15 days had to buy it.
Well, when it examined my pc it found a ton of stored logs so I set it to erase it all.
I was monitoring my hard drive free space as it was doing it's thing & instead of my free space expanding, it did the opposite so it seemingly didn't get rid of anything but likely compiled it for an easy grab by the software designer is my guess.
Well, I went further & set it to wipe my existing free space of any fragments of files not completely erased & watched as it completely zeroed out 30 gigs of free space where there was nothing left on the drive to write to & it crashed my O/S & as a further insult, destroyed my back up software so I couldn't return back to a previous state so I ended up having to put a fresh O/S back on my pc. What a fuckin' pain in the ass & you assholes that made that piece of shit deserve to be hauled to a dark back alley & get treated to a baseball bat party.
There's my report on this piece of crap you should avoid if you're thinking of trying it out.
